New retrofit range saves time and money

UNION Architectural Hardware, part of the ASSA ABLOY group, the global leader in door opening solutions, has modified and updated it’s Retro3 and Retro4 door closers to remain the primary choice for retrofit projects.

Changes to the Retro3 and Retro4 models were made in response to a survey of distributors and end users across the country who were able to provide the key practical advice to further improve the product.

Already well established models within the UNION range of door closers, the products have been further improved, and fixing procedures clarified. Attention to detail is a key feature of the new design, for example separating timber and metal fixings into individual re-sealable plastic bags.

Complete with a 10-year guarantee, the newly modified products are ideal for use when retro fitting schools, hospitals and offices. Saving time and money, in most cases they won’t require door surgery or a new template.

Pauline Richardson, UNION Product Manager, commented:

“The Retro3 and Retro4 closers have always been popular because they use the same dimensions and footprint as some of the most widely used door closer designs. This makes them ideal for use on projects where cost is an issue.

“Now that we have made them even quicker and easier to fit and have revamped the step by step pictorial diagrams, we are sure that the Retro3 and Retro4 door closer will remain the product of choice on retrofit projects.”
