Security specialist Yale has introduced a new merchandiser, designed to help merchants meet demand for replacement Doormaster™ multipoint locks and other PVCu and composite door security products.
Yale’s new 1.5m high Doormaster™ merchandiser allows merchants to display the complete range of Doormaster™ locks for PVCu, composite and timber doors, and can be tailored to suit individual merchants’ requirements.
The merchandiser can also hold Kitemarked euro profile cylinders, replacement handles and letter plates for add-on sales opportunities, as many customers will upgrade the security and appearance of the existing door at the same time as replacing the multipoint lock.
Multipoint locks are fitted to 70% of all new external residential doors and many older multipoint locks are reaching the end of their lifecycle. Over the coming months and years, growing numbers of multipoint locks are expected to fail, with over one million expected to require replacement this year alone.
The new Yale Doormaster™ range enables trade professionals to replace virtually all multipoint locks in PVCu, composite and timber doors with just six products and includes three categories to suit different door types, security requirements, and levels of installation experience.
The range includes a Professional series, developed with professional door experts in mind, which includes three croppable replacement locks, offering a high security solution for virtually all multipoint locks with multiple hooks or deadbolts and 35mm or 45mm backsets, whether in PVCu, timber, or composite doors.
It also includes two versatile Universal replacement multipoint locks, offering a one hook, two roller and two mushroom roller solution for PVCu doors with 35mm and 45mm backset locks.
Finally, the Doormaster™ range includes an Adjustable replacement lock, which can be adjusted to varying hook and bolt heights to suit the door, without being cropped.
The Doormaster™ range is being promoted to homeowners and trade professionals through a national PR and online marketing campaign, designed to raise awareness of replacement multipoint locks and PVCu and composite door security.
Commenting on the new merchandiser, Catherine Brock, Category Marketing Manager for Yale, said: “Easy to assemble and Yale branded, the new Doormaster™ merchandiser is an ideal way of introducing this revolutionary new product range into the marketplace.”
