Yale Gets a Handle on TS007 Standard


Yale has launched a new Premium door handle developed to TS007 2 star security standard, completing its ‘good, better, best’ offering within the replacement PVCu furniture market.

TS007 is a standard developed in response to concerns over cylinder attacks and is endorsed by BSI, with compliant products carrying the trusted British Kitemark.

Introduced by the Door and Hardware Federation together with the Glass & Glazing Federation, TS007 is designed with the retrofit market in mind, allowing consumers to upgrade their security without replacing the whole door. The standard is characterised by a star rating system, and can be achieved by using a 3 star cylinder alone, or by combining a 1 star cylinder with a 2 star rated security door furniture solution.

Yale’s new Platinum stainless steel door handle has been tested to achieve a 2 star standard and when combined with Yale’s popular anti-snap euro profile cylinder, the solution offers the ultimate protection from cylinder manipulation attack.
