Since its launch the Abloy Academy has achieved great feedback and building on this success has announced its 2013 course dates.
2012 proved to be a successful year for the Abloy Academy, with over 100 attendees. Building on this the 2013 dates have been announced, with nine courses scheduled to feature throughout the year, and with compliance and safety top of many businesses’ agendas, bumper attendance is predicted.
A purpose built facility at Abloy’s Willenhall factory, the Academy includes a fully equipped classroom, showroom and workshop, where customers can attend product presentations, specification seminars and practical installation training.
Abloy UK is running a full calendar of events aimed at installers, security managers, lock centres, specifiers and end-users. Courses range from the foundations course to hands-on training in electric and mechanical locks, and specification seminars on security solutions for health and education facilities.
Such has been its success, a number of respected industry figures have been keen to endorse the Abloy Academy.
Tony Lloyd, Managing Director, Lloyd Asset Protection, said: “I would recommend attending the Abloy Academy, in particular the Foundations course, which provided me with an invaluable insight in to the door specification process.
“In the asset protection business, we take an advisory role, meaning that understanding Building Regulations and standards, particularly those relating to fire doors, is not just important, it is essential.
“The session was well-organised, informative and thoroughly enjoyable and I would certainly consider attending further courses in the future.”
Jon Burke, Marketing Manager for Abloy, said: “The Academy is a well-regarded training facility within the industry. We’re here to provide the industry with key training courses that will really make a difference to their business. We’re looking forward to a great 2013 and building on the current courses we have.”
