Yale sponsors Wayne ‘The Wanderer’ Jones ~/link/519fa5f400dc4b04b64e7a1cb95f404c.jpg Security specialist Yale has sponsored professional darts player Wayne Jones for the whole of 2013, further promoting the Yale brand name and logo. Wolverhampton’s Wayne ‘The Wanderer’ Jones began his career in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) in the late 1980s and reached the final of the British Open in 1990. He then switched to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and made his debut at their version of the World Championship in 2004. In 2006 Jones produced his best ever World Championship performance by reaching the semi-finals and played in the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts tournament at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall in November 2012, which was aired on Sky Sports. Yale has sponsored Jones in order to raise the profile of the Yale name to a new market and create even greater demand for merchants and retailers stocking the brand. David Herbert, Head of Marketing for Yale, said: “Television is still one of the most powerful marketing methods and with this new sponsorship, as well as the recent TV advertising campaign, Yale can only further secure itself as a name synonymous with security – encouraging customers to buy and allowing merchants and retailers to maximise sales opportunities.” For further information, please contact the Yale trade sales team on 0845 223 2126 or visit www.yale.co.uk.
